Scott of Wellsville, New York, installed TorqueTubes exhaust manifold assembly on a ’98 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 6-cyl.
It's great to drive a Jeep Cherokee 4.0L I6 that doesn't have that trademark exhaust leak from the factory manifold. The exhaust note has a little more authority to it, also. I had no problem installing the TorqueTubes on my Jeep in my driveway with simple hand tools in about five hours. (I took my time and did some other repairs while I had things torn down.) There is a marked increase in performance as well. But the best thing about the whole deal is the 2.5 to 3 mile per gallon increase in the gas mileage!
If
there was a replacement headpipe for the '98 Cherokee
4.0L to go with the TorqueTubes, I'd have one. The
original pipe is only 2". I'd bet the difference in flow would make a big difference in all the other good changes brought about by the TorqueTubes install.
Am
I happy? You bet! Without a doubt, this was the best
money I've spent on aftermarket Jeep parts EVER, and
worth every penny. |
