Phil of Prineville, Oregon, installed a PowerPack system on a ’95 Ford F-250 7.5L 460 CID 4X4
I purchased the Banks #48847 kit for a 460 CID in a 1995 Ford F250 Extended Cab 4X4 from you on 9/15/06. I wanted to write you and relay the results. As a foundation to this writing I wanted you to know that I build performance oriented engines for the Street Rod and Cobra Kit car enthusiasts. I dyno. most of these engines in order to confirm to my customers the performance of these engines. The other reason I dyno. is to provide evidence to the suppliers of components that I buy the actual gains or the lack there of regarding the parts they have supplied. I am not easily convinced of performance claims by manufacturers and I will hold any manufacturer liable if the claims they make do not prove true upon testing. No exceptions.
That said I am pleased to report that your testing data is accurate and I consider your business practices as ethical and honest. It is truly a pleasure to see this type of credible results as related to actual versus advertised. Here are the results.
Vehicle: 1995 Ford F250 Extend Cab. 4X4, 460 CID, Auto Trans, 373 final drive, stock tire diameter. Note: Engine in sound condition.
Base line performance. 0-70 MPH 15.7 Seconds averaged over three runs.
After Installation performance. 0-70 MPH 14.4 Seconds averaged over three runs.
Base line fuel mileage: 12.5 MPG
After Installation fuel Mileage: 14.4 MPG.
Both tests were done within an ambient temperature range 5 degrees. 72 base line and 77 after installation.
Both tests done on exactly the same driving locations.
I was so shocked by the mileage increase I retested twice over a 100 mile loop. These results are real, period.
One last thing the fitment, instructions, and component quality are the best I have experienced in the industry.
Trust me if these results had not proved true you be getting a box of parts back and I would be after my money. Thank you for a top quality product and results that you can believe.
