In
a first for Gale Banks Engineering, the Azusa-based designer
and manufacturer of aftermarket power-enhancement products
has created a performance system for an imported vehicle.
Designed to easily fit Nissan’s new full-size 5.6L
Titan pickup truck (named the "2004 Pickup Truck of
the Year" by Four Wheeler Magazine), Banks’ 3” stainless
steel Monster Exhaust provides the sound and look of power
while reducing backpressure by 92%—i.e., virtually
eliminating it. As a result, the Titan engine is able to
produce more power with less work and lower exhaust temperatures.
Banks
Monster Exhaust replaces the crimped stock exhaust with an
all-stainless steel mandrel-bent system that uses larger
diameter pipes to optimize air flow. The heart of the system
is a low-restriction, 3" straight-through heavy-gauge
polished stainless Monster muffler that dramatically outflows
the stock muffler while providing an authoritative, yet civil,
exhaust sound that fits the commanding appearance of Titan.
Banks
ends the system on the right note with a handsome 5" polished
double-walled tailpipe tip. The entire system is backed with
a lifetime limited warranty, and because Monster Exhaust
is a cat-back system, it’s fully compatible with Nissan’s
factory warranty.
