"My 2001 Dodge diesel performed okay locally when pulling my 10,000 lb. travel trailer, but when I went to New England and found some large hills, I was not satisfied. It took too long to get up to the speed that I wanted. I had the PowerPack® installed and could not believe the difference! I was cruising at about 60 mph at 1800 rpm. I floored it and in a split second I was going 85 mph. It actually has too much power if I'm not pulling my trailer, and when I am pulling my trailer everyone gets in my way! I'm on the brake instead of downshifting to get more power like I used to do. I can go up hills almost as fast as I go down hills. This is a MUST system for you guys that don't have it already. Don't mess around, go straight for the PowerPack system! Thanks to Tony Wood at Banks. He treated me GREAT!" —Phil Grimm, Hershey, PA

"A few months ago I put larger tires on my [1999 Dodge 24-valve diesel] truck, lost some power. Looking to reclaim it, I installed the Power Elbow and Monster Exhaust. I got the lost power back … and more. Very pleased with the results." —Kevin Owen; La Verne, CA

"I'm very impressed with the Banks CBC [in Banks Brake for Dodge/Cummins] operation. The automatic warm-up feature is very cool. The overall operation and ease of installation was supreme. Banks has stepped up to the plate, and made another outstanding product improvement. Bravo!" —Jim Childs; Bothell, WA

"After having the Stinger-Plus installed in my 2000 Dodge Ram 5.9L diesel, I can put it in cruise control at 60 mph, and this truck never slows down, even over the Grapevine. Believe me, I know I purchased the right system." —Ernest Lee; Sonoma, CA

"I recently had your Stinger-Plus installed on my '99 Dodge 24-valve diesel: it's incredible! Mileage in city driving increased almost 2 mpg. I barely touch the accelerator for the power to move through traffic. Freeway driving towing a 7000-lb trailer, mileage averaged 21.7 mph with plenty of power to accelerate climbing hills. I intend to keep my truck for many years and know poor designs can improve power at the expense of a shorter engine life. I'm confident your design and overall quality in this system has increased my useable power without damaging my engine." —Mike Jones; Arcadia, CA

"Believe us when we say that having 700 pounds of torque at the rear tires makes an already great vehicle well over 77 percent more enjoyable." —Four Wheeler magazine

"Thanks to Banks, I have more USABLE power than I ever imagined. At the May Madness Rally, I raced my camper-laden, 8,700-lb PowerPacked truck against a 7,000-lb Dr. Performance truck and beat him by two truck lengths. Banks is the best!" —Jerry Nielsen, Laguna Beach, CA

"I ordered a Stinger-Plus system in anticipation of my 2000 Ram purchase ... Now I get more than a few astonished looks from people in other trucks and cars when I dust them, especially pulling a trailer with a car on it." —Jamie Passon; Sugarloaf, PA

"Thank you for the great customer support during the installation of the Stinger-Plus TLC system on my 2000 Dodge Ram 2500-this along with the very high quality component parts supplied, allowed me to complete the installation with ease. The 'new' truck performance is outstanding, my wife now enjoys driving the truck as much as I do!" —Cary Ridpath; Encinitas, CA

"Thanks for great service. The PowerPack was shipped promptly and [installed] in a little over five hours ... Just past Vantage is a major 5% grade for approximately four miles. Due to traffic at the bottom we were only able to do 40. Just ahead, a semi in the right lane and nothing in the left. My husband said 'Let's see what she can do' as he shifted into 4th gear and changed lanes. Halfway up the hill he moves back over to the right at 65 mph. WOW, 40 to 65 on a major hill, pulling a 9000-lb trailer!" —Jim & Lisa Brewer; Kent, Washington

"I'm a geologist working the Oil Patch in western Canada: I need a tough 4X4 to get into some nasty country. I need reasonable fuel economy as I drive 50,000 kilometers a year. And, I need a workhorse to haul my vintage 442s to the dragstrip. I had the PowerPack installed in my 1999 K2500 after the truck was broken in. Now I have the best of both worlds ” power and economy. With the driving I do, the system will pay for itself in three years, and extend the life of the truck considerably. I'll be keeping this truck, as it is just too damn good to sell when I mile her out in the Oil Patch." —Dave Nicol; Calgary, Canada

"We have always had a fondness for spirited competition. The May Madness sand drags were no exception. Seems the test truck fitted with Banks PowerPack squared off with a '400 hp' version of a competitor's 'prescription' in the sand drag pit. The results were captured on video and speak for themselves. With at least two truck lengths separating the two, we noted the Banks truck's copilot leaning out the window making some remark about releasing the parking brake. Like we said before, dynos are nice for tailgate bragging rights, but if you want to know how your truck works, take it to the track." —Turbo Diesel Register magazine

"In this day of unfulfilled promises and a departure from what made commerce in America the best, it is a true pleasure to do business with you guys. It is so refreshing to buy a product and have it exceed your wildest hopes. Banks, I feel, actually understates what to count on in the way of instant performance and satisfaction. I recommend your company and its way of doing business to anyone who will listen. Thank you!" —Tom Parr; Amarillo, TX

"WOW. I'm the kind of guy who likes perfection, and this kit is IT. My '98 Ram 3500 cab-and-chassis with 14-foot van body weighs in at 14,400 lbs at its lightest, and pulls loaded tractor-trailers with hardly a grunt.

It's my mobile truck repair shop, and I wouldn't trade it for the world—especially with the Banks kit. Now I'm upgrading to the PowerPack and Banks exhaust brake. Hope I can keep tires on it, because it already spins them now." —Darren Taylor; Burlington, Canada

"I added the Stinger-Plus TLC system and was thrilled with the massive power increase. When the High-Ram inlet became available, I added it to the setup, and was again pleased with the results.
I now have 41,000 miles on the truck, and zero problems with the powertrain. I have never wanted for more power. Sixth gear and 70 mph is the norm. Thanks Banks, for helping make my truck a real pleasure to drive!!!" —Jeff Luttrull; Anderson, IL

"Thank you for the great product you created for the Dodge diesels. My friends and I recently installed your PowerPack on my 2000 Dodge/Cummins 5-speed. I did it in a staged manner because, frankly, I was afraid I might screw up a good vehicle trying to make it better. I started with the Git Kit, and when the results with this level were as advertised and I saw the quality of the components, engineering and support, I decided to go for the 'Big Chalupa'—the PowerPack. The engineering that you have put into this system is obvious, the parts are all top-grade, fit properly, and the transformation this system made in my truck is spectacular. Fuel mileage is up about 10%, drivability is perfect, but it's the power that is truly impressive—you did it right. To think that the power was doubled for that price is the icing on the chalupa." —Wade Stoughton; Morgantown, WV

"I was originally interested in Banks for increased fuel economy and powertrain longevity. Now, my already-powerful 2001 Dodge diesel Ram is made so much more pleasant to drive, I think I would have a very hard time driving a non-Banks Ram. The truck actually shifts much more smoothly with the added power.
I have a hard time not unintentionally racing other cars/trucks off the line at stoplights. The truck simply has so much smooth usable power, you must watch your foot pressure on the pedal along with your speedometer so as not to get a ticket ... so far, no tickets here!" —Jerry Farquhar; Schaumburg, IL

"We had the Stinger-Plus TLC installed and added the High-Ram intake when they were introduced, making the installation a full PowerPack TLC. The truck gets 18.5-21 mpg empty and 12.7-13.9, pulling a 14,000-lb, 36-foor, 5th wheel. The power is unbelievable. In overdrive through Colorado, on the I-70 7-8% grades, cruise is set on 70 and I never have to shift. We have 22,000 miles on the PowerPack and I'm still amazed every time we pull with the truck.

Eleven Banks kits have been bought by people that either drove or heard about my truck (that I know of) and one of these is now a dealer who's installed several sets for his customers as well. He drove my truck and dropped the products he was selling and signed on with Banks. To say the PowerPacked 24-valve is impressive is an understatement. We also have a '99 Power Stroke with a Stinger-Plus system that pulls great and will most likely order a PowerPack for our 2001, 24-valve HO 6-speed later this spring." —Rick Davis; Great Bend, IL

"I haul a trailer for my business and the truck was pretty doggy with a load. I researched all the vendors I could find, talked to shops doing their own and checked with Cummins and the Bosch dealer. To make a long story short, I wound up using Banks PowerPack TLC and have been thrilled with the results."

"I chose Banks because of their standing and tenure as a company, warranty and the fact that their design addresses air flow as well as increased fuel."

"I am thrilled with my truck, I get 18-19 mpg empty (7400 lbs) and 13-15 pulling a 12000 lb trailer. I can run up a grade like a racecar empty and with the fast traffic pulling a trailer. For what its worth, I'd do it again in a minute." —Dee Lindsey; via e-mail

"Simply awesome! It runs fantastic. I have no problem going up Cajon Pass at 75 mph with my 7,000-lb trailer, passing other Dodge trucks carrying smaller trailers."

"There is also this stretch of highway that runs for about a mile with about a 15% grade. Before Banks PowerPack, I'd go 50-55 mph in 5th gear. With Banks, I take it at 70-75 mph in high gear."

"I installed the system myself. The instructions were just right. Any shade-tree mechanic could do it, 8-10 hours at most. Very easy!"
"With the OttoMind, I don't worry about my exhaust temperature anymore, or over-temping my engine. That's a very big plus!" —Fred Danner; Vista, CA

"The [Git-Kit] did everything as advertised. I'm usually skeptical about aftermarket stuff. It performed beyond expectation. The difference in the truck is unreal."

"Coming home from Banks, I drove 70-75 mph and played with the power just to see what I had for hills and passing. I punched it a couple of times and went 90 mph. The truck would never do 90 before!" —Barry Faklis; Sparks, NV

"I just wanted to let you know that I couldn't be happier with the installation of the PowerPack. I've put 1000 miles on the truck since last Friday, and I've had no problems. The performance is everything that I expected, and well worth the cost." —Stuart Fishman; via e-mail

"You far exceeded my expectations with technical and installation support. You were very professional. I will let all my customers and future customers know about your company." —Corey Thibodeaux; Premiere RV Service and Performance; New Iberia, LA

"The installation of the PowerPack on my '95 Dodge 1 Ton was an absolute SUCCESS!! My compliments to the staff at Banks Engineering for assembling a system that is understandable, functional and relatively easy to install. Is there ever an improvement! I did not expect that much of a difference. The turbo whistles to let you know that its sucking in air and the response is very noticeable!! Put 300 miles on it without a load then hooked up the horse trailer and did it again, amazing improvement! Have a horse show 2 hours away this weekend, looking forward to the drive!!" —Doug Lisser, La Conner, WA

"I hit the canyon in my '97 3500 Ram Dually with a 3750-pound load. Drove up the hill and drove down the hill. It was always a "pull" before I installed PowerPack and Banks Brake; now I just drive it. I get better mileage than I did before and I sure appreciate the extra "teeth" I had to chew up the grades - they make them steep in the Southwest!

Perfect feminine closure to my Banks upgrade project came when my wife drove the truck. Glancing at the EGT and boost gauges, she said, "It's easier on the truck." "Yes, dear," I said, "it's called power!"

I've got new-truck performance thanks to the PowerPack and Banks Brake. Not a bad deal! Think I'll keep that '97 for a few more years - it looks good and can back it up, too! I told my son to buy a good used '97; we'll give it that "Banks smile." —Joe Kroack, Tucson, AZ

?I would like to thank you for a well-engineered product. I completed the installation of Banks PowerPack kit on my '97 Dodge Ram in my own garage, without special tools. Everything fit and functioned as advertised. The first time out with my 10,000-lb 5th-wheel trailer felt as if I was driving a completely different truck! Thanks to you and the Banks group again." —Ron Lewis; Leesburg, FL

"Have just added the Banks Brake with SmartLock to the 1996 2500 Dodge 4x4. Since the installation of the Stinger-Plus (in 2001), I've traded in the 34-foot travel trailer for a 35-foot 5th wheel. The "Go Power" and the "Whoa Power" are now pretty much even. Looking forward to some new hills in PA and WV. Banks, thank you." —Lee Pravitz; Dover, DE

"One might wonder what good it does to have access to 696 lb-ft of torque and 264 hp in a pickup. After all, that's pretty close to 50% of what 18-wheelers have to pull some 80,000 lbs with. We won't even try to deny it: it made driving the Dodge a heck of a lot more fun. Just seeing the look of complete disbelief in fellow drivers' faces when the Cummins simply gets up and goes could be worth the price of admission." —Four Wheeler magazine

"Well, I did it. Went to Azusa and put Banks PowerPack on my '94 Dodge/Cummins with 111,000 miles on it. I cannot believe the difference. It far surpasses my wildest hopes. Up Cajon Pass with a 12,500-lb. Alpenlite behind me at 70 mph in overdrive, easy." —Jack Doll; via Internet

"You represent a high-class, good old-fashioned, customer-service driven operation in this day and age. Regarding the PowerPack, we are totally happy campers, satisfied to the max! Topped Cajon Pass, towing very heavy, with traffic—a first! We will never cease singing the praises of Banks Engineering." —Kent & Lis Creamer; Corona, CA

"Like nailing a throttle in on a fuel-injected gas engine." —Off-Road magazine

"I hooked up my horse trailer, gathered up the biggest horses I could lay my hands on ... put the rig just under 18,000 lbs. [The Stinger-Plus-equipped truck] pulls it up Cajon Pass in top gear at 65 mph. That's not full throttle—there is power left. This baby is a pullin' machine now." —John A. Hooper; Victorville, CA

"I had the pleasure of visiting your plant to have my '91 Dodge 350 fitted with your Stinger-Plus. The truck no longer has to reach 20 mph for the turbine to boost power, it comes on the moment you advance the throttle." —Thomas G. Crockett; Hemet, CA

"Gale Banks Engineering developed a Cummins diesel that not only provides an increase in power and acceleration, they provide an increase in fuel economy as well! These features add up to a big savings in time and money on long hauls." —Truckin' magazine

"I don't believe I've ever been so pleased with any aftermarket product as Banks Stinger-Plus. To my utter surprise, over Snoqualmie Pass I could do 65+ mph in overdrive at any point on the highway, even the steepest. Coming back, because the grades are less steep, my speed was determined more by safety than the capability of the engine—meaning I let off the throttle as I approached 70. My pyrometer maxed out at 900° F, boost got up to 30 psi and my transmission temperature remained below 140°F." —Randy Benton; Bellevue, WA

"I had a Stinger-Plus installed on my new Dodge 4x4 truck at Gale Banks Engineering. That was 8900 miles ago ... the difference in performance is dramatic." —James H. Papen, PhD; Charlotte, NC

"The performance gain was all I expected, exactly where it was needed. That cumbersome diesel acceleration from about 10 mph to 50 mph is now gone!" —William K. Ryan; Carlsbad, CA

"I am well pleased with Banks PowerPack. Up the 5-mile, 7% grade near me, my '93 Dodge/Cummins and 35-foot trailer was able to maintain 37 mph from a running start. With Banks, it was able to accelerate to 43 mph. I watched the instruments and everything stayed within recommended limits." —Isaac Armstrong; Soddy-Daisy, TN

"With 213,000 miles on my Dodge Ram, I decided to have Banks Stinger added to my truck. WOW is all I can say!! The performance difference is fantastic! When I used to get on the highway and accelerate to highway speeds, it took all of the ramp to get there, and even then I just barely got out of everyone's way. I hit the on ramp now and accelerate through the gears, watch the boost come on with the gauge, feel it set me back in the seat, and I am at highway speed long before the end of the ramp. It's great to have a truck that will get out of the way when I want it to. Diesels don't have to be slow and cumbersome. Just follow me around for a while, I'll show you! (Unless you're a cop ... then find someone else. LOL)" —Dave Nash; Hudson, MI

"I installed the Banks Stinger-Plus system in my 1996 Dodge/Cummins, and am amazed at how easy it was, yet boosts the power so significantly. This was the easiest bolt-on power I've ever done. Prior to the system, I found myself using maximum power to go up steep grades when towing 6000 lbs. With the Stinger-Plus, there's power to spare, even towing up Stevens Pass. Icing on the cake: my gas mileage increased 3 to 4 mpg. I am very pleased with how my truck performs now." —Lyle True; Stanwood, WA

"My '97 Dodge Ram 3500 was a great truck with a lot of pulling power. We pull a 35-foot fifth-wheel and a six-horse gooseneck to many horse shows. Living in Colorado guarantees many uphill pulls. After installing the Stinger-Plus, I was completely amazed at the difference. I admit I was a little doubtful about the power claims that Banks Engineering promised. The first major test run was the weekend after installation, hauling to a horse show in Salt Lake City. Going over the pass between Laramie and Cheyenne proved to me what a great investment I'd made. I used to go over that pass, a 5% grade, pulling 55 mph on a good day. That day I went over the pass doing 70 mph, with power to spare! Man was I stoked!!! My wife could not believe it, not to mention 2 mpg better than before! Since I am able to brag, I constantly beat Ford Power Stroke and even the new Chevy Duramax going down the road. The reaction from other drivers is priceless!" —Byron Baumann; Fort Collins, CO

"Recently I purchased the PowerPack for my '97 Dodge truck. The performance is beyond words. It is like a totally different truck. Highway acceleration is unbelievable. From 60-100 mph it is purely amazing."

"A friend wanted to test my Banks Power Ram against his 2000 Ford Power Stroke. Well, he was, in fact, 'stroked.' We ran the two machines through the half-mile once and the quarter-mile twice. He got beat three times. In the half-mile, my Dodge won by five truck lengths, in the quarter by three and then two."

"The Banks system is an awesome improvement. IT is a nice price, but the price does not outweigh the performance." —Kenneth A. Luna; Drew, MI

"I recently purchased a Banks PowerPack for my '95 Dodge Ram 2500. The improvement in performance is phenomenal! Most of the time, the only way I know I'm under load is by monitoring the boost gauge. My cruise control, on a moderately steep climb, will downshift from overdrive to third, but keeps the speed up."

"My performance gains were evident everywhere, from towing on ground level to dragging my trailer up Raton Pass. I am ecstatic!"

"Want some specifics? Pulling Monument Hill, prior to the kit installation I would top the hill at 43mph. Now I top it at 61 mph! My gas mileage remains the same while towing but increased 1 mpg in town, from 15 mpg to 16 mpg."

"Pulling hills compared to the Ford 460 rig, I used to be left in the dust. Now the Ford can only dream of keeping up! My rig with Banks PowerPack out-pulled the Ford rig on every hill we took on a 2500-mile trip."

"My recommendation to all who are debating how to improve your power: Go directly to the Banks PowerPack system: you can't go wrong. The performance improvement is astounding!"

"My father—who was completely skeptical—is now planning to have the Banks PowerPack system installed on his Ford." —Bill Floyd; Falcon, CO

"I kinda had to talk my wife into getting Banks PowerPack. By golly, now I have it on my truck. Boy, what power!"

"I'm getting about 22 miles per gallon, part country and part town driving. Before, about 19-20 mpg." —Norman Richtik; Petaluma, CA

"After installation of the PowerPack, we went through California, Oregon, Nevada and back to Arizona. We are very happy with the performance."

"We met an exceptional employee of yours while having the PowerPack installed. Anne, who works at the front desk, could not have been more helpful. Every time we came into the office, she greeted us with a smile and warm, wonderful personality. We would also like to thank Courtney Glenn and Dave Frantzich, who were wonderful in giving information, answering questions and making sure the job was done on time." —Raul & Charlotte Pedrin; Prescott, AZ

"Immediately after having Banks Stinger-Plus installed on my 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel, we set out on a 1200-mile trip. It was very obvious from the start that there was an improvement as the rpm came up so quickly I had to restrain myself not to have such a heavy foot on the accelerator. In the past, I had to shove the accelerator down to get the rpm up to 1900-2000, where the torque converter would cut in. That is no longer the case. The rpm needle rises so fast I have to work to keep the speed down."

"Entering the freeway with my 28-foot trailer was noticeably different. With the rpm coming up so fast, the torque needed for getting up to speed was there, right now! Blending into traffic is much safer."

"As a result of the Stinger-Plus, the engine not only ran cooler, but the downshift frequency was cut dramatically."

"I compared how I fared going up Dead Man's Pass, south of Pendleton, Oregon, a six-mile long, six percent grade. Without Stinger-Plus I could do about 40-45 mph, out of overdrive with 18-20 lbs. boost. If slowed by another vehicle it might be necessary to drop to second gear and speed would drop off to 25-30 mph, and it wouldn't be possible to accelerate. With the Stinger-Plus I went up the hill at 50 mph and still had power to accelerate to 60. The pyrometer indicated a temperature 100-150 degrees cooler than before, and boost ran around 22-24 lbs.!"

"I intentionally drove harder to check fuel mileage. Before the Stinger-Plus I average 13-15 mpg. With the Stinger-Plus my calculated mileage for the 1200 miles was 15.5 mpg."

"I have no reservations recommending the it and have probably become somewhat obnoxious to other Dodge diesel owners with my praise of Banks Stinger-Plus." —Dave Lewis; Seattle, WA

"The system works very well. In 0-to-60 acceleration tests, I reduced the time form 11.5 to 10.6 seconds."
"The components fit very well. Everything lined up perfectly with good clearances. I didn't have to heat or bend anything." —David A. Pratt; Waterville, OH

"Received a Banks cap in the mail yesterday. I will surely wear the cap whenever I'm towing my 35-foot fifth wheeler. I went out in the garden this morning and guess what? My wife was wearing the cap."
"I have this to say about Banks products: They are excellent products, first quality. And everything fits as dimensioned." —John Senko; Wellington, NV
