"This header is a very nice kit! Better power throughout the RPM range and especially mid-top end with no perceivable loss on low-end. I haven't had a chance to go rock crawling yet but lugging around in deep sand & snow and has been fine thus far. I had to make a tough decision & compromise though during the installation, as I have the M. O. R. E. Bomb Proof engine block brackets & motor mounts. During the middle of the installation of the headers, I discovered I had over a 1. 5" interference on the Driver's side Bomb proof engine mount bracket. So I ended up putting back the OEM engine block bracket (I always keep my takes-off when upgrading stuff) but kept the bomb proof motor mount. I also have the AutoMind programmer, the earlier SW version where you could tweak the gear ratio. Newer ones hide that now for some silly reason; for which, nearly 80% or more Jeep owners have oversized tires and/or changed gear ratios. In my particular setup, I have 35" tires with 4. 88 gears. The shifting programming with OEM tune is aggressively up-shifting way to soon. Wants to get into over-drive super-fast. Well, luckily for me I'm able to change the gearing parameter the older Automind tuner and it improved the timing of the shifting a noticeable amount, it could be improved a bit more. I really wished they allowed to go as high as the aftermarket provides for most Jeeps. In my case for my 06' Wrangler Rubicon most folks run either 4. 88 or 5. 13s. Some even higher. I don't like going higher than 4. 56s as the pinion gets too small for my peace of mind. Bringing-back the tuning of the wider range of tire size & gearing ratios would make this an awesome setup to dial it in. All-in-all, this Rubicon really scoots now with my 35" BFG KM3 'E' rated heavy meats. Still shifts to early a bit early but tolerable for now. Living in California has its limitations."

"Welds look okay, finish isn’t as good as the website would lead to believe. There was a bit of rust I had to remove from the surface before prep. For what I spent on these, I wish there was a bit more attention to detail. This doesn’t affect the functionality. Mounted right to the cylinder head with no modification. Work as expected."
"Installation was smooth, we actually pulled the engine side motor mount, and using a jack and cribbing raised the motor slightly to give us adequate space to work. It only required slight lifting of the intake. I would suggest some sort of spring mount for attaching the exhaust to the header collectors."

"Install was a little more difficult than expected. There are a couple of statements in the instructions that should be IN BOLD PRINT, as they are make or break to complete install. Overall, the product is of the quality and performance I expect from Banks. Nice throaty sound on acceleration that fades to the background when cruising."
