About This Product

Protect your 2017-2025 Duramax MAP sensor from dirty exhaust gas and sticky oil buildup with Banks’ MAP Sensor Relocation Kit. A contaminated sensor can cause inaccurate readings, adversely affecting fuel economy and power output. The small billet aluminum device relocates the sensor out of the soot-filled exhaust stream.

Fitment Note
Due to the sensitivity of the sensor, GM advises not to use any chemical cleaners including water and do not use compressed air to remove contaminates. Proceed with cleaning the sensor at your own risk.

Designed to work with OEM sensor, may not be optimal with some aftermarket sensors.
Why It's Better

KEEPS YOUR MAP SENSOR CLEAN

Your engine’s EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and PCV (Positive Crank Case Ventilation) systems draw unburnt exhaust gasses and oil vapor into the combustion chambers to lower combustion temperature, reduce NOx, and keep harmful gasses from entering the atmosphere.

LESS CLEANING.
MORE POWER.

This recirculated exhaust gas and sticky oil vapor adheres to the MAP sensor’s delicate electronics causing inaccurate readings. This results in incorrect fuel calculations reducing fuel economy and power output.

Works great

"Works great"

Chris S. (5/5)

MAP Sensor install

"The installation of the map sensor was very easy. I bought the upper sensor and a new map sensor. (old sensor had 110,000 miles on it). Put it all together prior to installing it into the truck. Total installation. and removal took about 10 minutes. Instructions were very detailed and very helpful"

Michael R. (5/5)

So far so good.

"After some reading on sooted up MAP sensors it looked at several although I have bought Banks items before on another truck LBZ. The sensor at 46,000 was very dirty. Not sure how it even worked. Change out was just as easy as videos I viewed. My experience with Banks products has been very positive and I will turn to them for performance add on to my 2017 LTZ Duramax."

Steven K. (5/5)

2500 MAP

"Like the way this looks and pulls the MAP sensor away from the intake to hopefully have less regens. The low profile look just makes it look like it belongs on the truck. My only issue, was a lil difficult to reconnect the plug cause of wires in the way."

Chris L. (5/5)

Quick and easy.

"Quick 3 minute install. Definitely take the time to clean your MAP sensor with some mass air flow sensor cleaner."

William A. (5/5)

Map sensor relocate

"Fitmet was almost there. The bolt to hold the sensor was bottomed out to make it work. Other then that everything went well truck runs the same. I had 19k miles and the sensor was caked. I’ll check it again in another 10k hopefully better results than factory."

Brad K. (5/5)

"An awesome addition to my 2020 Duramax"

MARK S. (5/5)

Nice

"Noticed improvement as soon as I started up my truck. Was shocked when connecting negative terminal on last battery and horn went off😁. But again worked as advertised!"

Q&A

Do you have one for the 2.8 duramax
No, we do not.
Will this work on the 3.0 Duramax? Mine has already been replaced at 18k under warranty, but I would rather prevent a future issue.
No, this kit is for the L5P Duramax 6.6l.
