"I got the RAM-air intake and boost tubes for my 4th Gen Tacoma. I immediately felt the difference with just the intake alone installed. It gave my SR5 the giddyup I felt it was missing. "Big Improvement — Definitely Worth It I’ve been really impressed with the Banks Ram-Air intake. The difference was noticeable right away. Acceleration feels quicker and more responsive—to me, it almost feels like the truck is in Sport Mode now. One of my favorite parts is being able to actually hear the turbo spool up. Banks includes a rubber block-off cap if you prefer a quieter setup, but I left mine open because I really like hearing the turbo. I’m also already seeing an increase in gas mileage, which was a nice bonus. Better throttle response, improved acceleration, great turbo sound, and better MPG so far. Very happy with the upgrade and would definitely recommend it."
"When I first installed ram air system I drove 54201 odometer to 54278 and got an average of 28. 9mpg. This was with non ethanol Casey’s gas. Since then I have made several long trips not getting as good mpg (lower grade gas and maybe need to clean filter?). I am really impressed with ease of install and the look of “factory”."
"Intake installs quickly and easily, just follow directions and use suppled screws for MAF sensor. Left the snorkel cover off for sound and glad I did! Great intake sound when you get on it and turbo blow off flutter. Definitely feels like I got more power. Would recommend to anyone and you cant beat Banks known reputation!!"

Press fitting the filter into the housing was most difficult part. It should be done before housing mounted in truck. There is a definite improvement in acceleration and throttle response. Increases in sound is negligible. Very satisfied with thee service, product and improved performance. The hot/cold tubes will be next."
"It really gives your tacoma that extra oomph if you get larger wheels and tires. No extra sound which I preferred, just all power. Mpg went up because everything's easier. Install was maybe 20 or so minutes. My advice is buy an extra filter so you can swap when you recharge and clean one"
