"I bought this filter to have a second filter to change out with while the one that came with the ram air kit, which is an oiled filter, when cleaning it. It seems to work better due to it won’t put oil residue on sensors and triggering CEL, wish it would have been available when I ordered the kit. Only thing is it doesn’t give directions on cleaning."

"Prefer this over the oiled filter because it lasts longer and is easier to maintain. Also the dry filter has the advantage to keep because if you forget to re-oil or do not add enough oil, you can cause cylinder wall damage and scuffing"

"2012 Jeep Wrangler JKU - I replaced thr intake and exhaust (cat back) with Banks systems and was woefully impressed like always. I run Banks in two trucks and this was a first time in a vehicle not a truck. Right now I am running 24MPG highway and 20MPG city in a Jeep which is unheard of. Only downside is I dont have a means for running a snorkel, saving money none the less."

After watching a Banks Video (comparing a Banks Filter to an S & B Filter), I was shocked on how much the Banks "out-performed" the S & B Filter by a mile! I know Banks fully Engineers and Test their Products. . . . a real "plus" these days."

"This was bought to be able to swap with my other one between cleaning and oiling. Its more efficient to have one sitting on the shelf to swap out during servicing. As with all of the Banks products that I have purchased they excellent quality."
