Helps engine produce horsepower at lower RPM

Thanks to a 45% reduction in pressure loss over the stock intake, air mass is increased into the turbo inlet. This denser air makes the turbo's job easier. Turbo lag is reduced and boost comes on sooner, widening the engine's working RPM range.

Patented Electronics

The ECM (Engine Control Module) in your 2025-26 Duramax monitors air mass and pressure so closely that any deviation from stock results in a check engine light. The truck's ultra-stringent ECM even monitors variations in crankcase ventilation pressure as another trigger for a trouble code. The Banks Crankcase Ventilation Control Module is a patented electronic device designed to work with the Banks Air Mass Control Module. Developed in-house and manufactured locally, the Crankcase Ventilation Control Module allows for modifications to the intake system without triggering diagnostic trouble codes like P04DB (Crankcase Vent System Disconnected) or related check engine lights and reduced engine power modes that plague other aftermarket intakes systems.

Late-model 2025+ Duramax trucks feature ultra-stringent ECM oversight of crankcase pressure, ventilation flow, and blow-by gases via integrated sensors in the CCV system. Any non-stock alteration—like rerouting for better oil separation, increased ventilation capacity to handle higher boost/performance, or integration with high-flow intakes—risks the ECM detecting "out-of-range" pressure or flow deviations. These deviations result in a check engine light to protect emissions compliance.

Your Stock Intake is Restrictive

The Duramax OEM air filter housing is a bulky multi-piece design with harsh bends, corners and is designed for dust collection, not performance. The air path is compromised by resonators and silencers in an effort to keep noise at a minimum.

While the factory design does have inlets that mate to the hood's air scoop, its square filter and S-shaped flow path induces turbulence and drag to the intake system lowering Mass Air Flow.

The new Banks Ram-Air system features a durable heat-resistant Cross-Linked Polyethylene enclosure with a smooth organic shape that maximizes cool air volume around the filter and maintains air density into the box itself.

The top hood scoop duct now dumps directly into the airbox chamber, improving the ram-air effect at speed.

Exclusive Bellows Free Performance

Standard factory style bellows induce drag to the intake. This added turbulence affects the boundary layer on the inside of the intake reducing the effective diameter for air to flow through.

Banks' huge tapering intake elbow with exclusive bellows slide over the Banks Super-Tube allowing for free engine movement and unobstructed airflow into the turbo.

The elbow is made from EPDM synthetic rubber instead of silicone for greater environmental resistance and strength against damage or collapse under vacuum.

2026 GMC 2500 AT4X air filter

"Instruction were outdated(video) regarding my 2026 GMC 2500; but extremely similar to what I have found mechanically in my vehicle. Instructions are 98% accurate. Delivery took more than expected but I would rate the product with a 9/10. I wish instead of plastic structure for the housing they would changed for Aluminum or other material other than plastic. I don’t feel any differences between the improvement and the factory; other than I can wash and re fresh with oil the air filter element."

2025 Chevy 3500HD ram air intake with big ass air filter

"Bought one for 2025 Chevy Silverado 3500HD soon as it was available for truck. Completely changed sound of engine on acceleration to deceleration. I can’t say it gave truck the 18 extra horsepower it was supposed to or improve fuel economy but it does sound badder. When you buy a 3500hd diesel truck you’re not buying it for fuel economy if you are you need to rethink your decisions!"

"Just bought a new 2026 2500 Silverado L5P. Ordered the Banks Ram Air. Quality product, excellent fit and easy to install. The day before install I took my wife to the airport in Tallahassee, FL for a 6:30AM flight. Checked my mileage and got 17. 5 MPG on the 35 mile loop. Next day the Ram Air was delivered and I installed it. Following day, just for fun, got up and did the same loop at 6:30AM. Same weather. Same traffic. MPG improved to 19. 1. That’s a 9. 1% improvement. I’m very pleased with the results and looking forward to seeing how my towing MPG looks."

Just bought a 2026 Silverado 2500 HD diesel. Do you know if this ram air will void the manufacturer warranty? Or, should I check with the service department at the dealership where I bought the truck? Would really love to install this on my new truck Thanks
The stance on aftermarket parts varies widely from dealer to dealer. This is why we suggest consulting with your dealer to learn how they choose to enforce manufacturer warranty policies. Generally speaking, there are three types of dealerships. 1. Dealers that embrace and install performance upgrades. 2. Dealers who will overlook an aftermarket part because they know it's harmless. 3. Dealers who are militant about aftermarket accessories and will deny a warranty. You'll find dealers across the US and Canada that sell and Banks products. You'll also find dealerships that will encourage you to keep the vehicle stock.

What is the difference between the 2024 and the 2025 intake for the Duramax is it the design and how it fits inside the truck or is it the mass airflow sensor that you guys developed that is different?
GM added a PCV sensor for the '25 model year. It has to do with ever-tightening emissions. The forthcoming Ram-Air Intake for the '25 will include both the Banks Air Mass Control Module which plugs into the MAF sensor, and a PCV sensor module. These modules are what allows us to flow greater air mass. Meanwhile, all other intake brands are stuck with stock airflow.
