"The air box and lid are blow molded plastic. It feels flimsy but it isn’t. All of it is very durable and high quality. The lid does not have white letters on it I had to paint mine white. I had a k&n filter in the factory airbox for a short time before going back to stock air filter because the k&n leaked dirt through the media into my intake system. I was concerned this filter would too but 3,000 miles later and it is still clean as a whistle inside and out. The performance is greatly improved as well as fuel mileage. I gained roughly 1.5 to 2 mph average. I used to get 15-16 on highway hauling all my tools (service truck) now I get 18-19. Also it is crucial to get the filter sock you will regret not getting it."
