Derringer has 6 power levels, adjustable on-the-fly, with a best gain of +117 hp pushing power well above 520 wheel hp to the road. Plus, the massive increase of +225 lb-ft of torque is situated right in the heart of the power band where you need it most.

Level 6 produces best-in-class performance, while Levels 2-4 are optimized for work use with great mid-range feel with a loaded truck or towing a trailer.

The Derringer High Output outruns the Edge Pulsar, using less fuel and maintaining lower exhaust gas temperatures.

Thanks to the Derringer High Output's more precise tuning between the engine and the transmission, the 0-60 distance is reduced by over half a truck length compared to the Pulsar and almost two full truck lengths over stock. That's a distance of over 35 feet.

High Output Tuned Safely

The Derringer HO maintains 10% cooler EGTs than Pulsar in our repeated tests. You do not want a tuner that adds fuel without additional air. An over-rich tune results in high exhaust temps and increased soot productions.

To maintain peak performance, EGT must be monitored and kept below 1550°F to avoid engine derate. This is when the ECM protects the engine from high temps by reducing fuel injection. In other words, the engine makes less horsepower when you need it the most. Imagine towing up a grade at altitude during the summer. The Banks Derringer-powered truck will outrun the Edge Pulsar truck when its EGTs climb and the ECM withdraws fuel to help cool the engine.

Consistent Power Delivery

The real-world benefits of powerful tuning done safely and reliably really show when you’re hauling a heavy load. At peak power, Derringer HO runs 10% leaner than Pulsar at its peak power, resulting in 6% better fuel economy.

Competitive products have been shown to over-fuel when under load which results in increased heat as well as loading up the diesel particulate filter (DPF) much quicker. The more the DPF is full of soot, the less time the engine will make full power. And, more frequent regens shorten the life of the DPF.

Thanks to its OBD connectivity, Derringer knows when the GM/Allison 10-speed transmission is shifting gears. It reduces its added power momentarily to allow for a smooth shift. Love this upgrade

"I thought my truck was fun and powerful before but now it’s night and day when towing my heavy trailers. I have a 2026 GMC Sierra 3500 work truck pro and Man did this Daringer really make my truck wake up. The Derringer and pedal monster combination are really amazing. In the spring, I plan on putting on my oil pan and rear diff cover from Banks as well. Can’t wait for them to release a 5 inch exhaust for this truck."

Highly recommended

"Install was not difficult. Just follow the well written instructions. As others mentioned it certainly wakes the truck up. Combining the Derringer with the pedal monster is a great combination. Just find the right combined settings for you driving style and you will not regret purchasing. I have made several trips and checked the fuel mileage manually before and after the install. There is a small improvement in some driving situations but given the significant increase in power I am pleasantly surprised there has been no decrease in fuel mileage even on the the higher levels. If you are looking for fuel mileage gains you will be disappointed but if you are looking for more power and making the truck more fun to drive you will be very pleased with this purchase. There are no negatives in my opinion."

Derringer High Output is Definitely worth buying !

"My truck seems like a totally different truck ! With the Derringer you can feel the power difference when accelerating especially at Level 5 & 6. The App allows easy customizing of layout/colors also. The kit is simple to install, easy to work with. The wire harness fits with no problems. Very well made kit like all the Banks products. I love my truck even more now as if that was possible !"

2026 2500 HD ZR2 Tuning Bundle

"I purchased the tuning bundle with the IDash Data Pro and it is truly an incredible product. Install was straightforward, instructions were clear and the results speak for themselves. I have seen 1. 5 to 2mpg better fuel economy than stock towing a small 4x8 trailer on setting #6 on the Derringer. If you want to solve the dead pedal, the pedal monster works and feels great on the top half of the City setting. Seriously consider this. The power and response are great and it will pay for itself in saved fuel."

Worth Every Penny!

"The install was really easy with the provided instructions and videos. The only tricky part was reaching the injector plug, but it just took some patience. Overall, the install was a piece of cake. I originally was planning on only purchasing the iDash Pro to monitor DPF ranges for regen and manually regen when on longer trips. I’m glad that I bought the Derringer and Pedal Monster in the bundle package. The performance increase is huge!"

Very surprised!

"Wasn’t expecting much, but Banks bundle on my 24 GMC 2500 HD has really made it feel alive, better mpg (not that I wanted it), better pedal response, and you can hear the turbo from the new intake and hot and cold side pipes. I recommend to do it all at once so you can truly wake up the 6. 6 Duramax engine !!!"

Steps to improving my 2026 denali ultimate 3500

"I recieved my New IDash Pro Powertrain Information Center And PedalMonster Throttle Controller. Also my Derringer and relocation for my map sensor. Unfortunately I'm at the mercy of mother nature and haven't been able to install them yet. Now looking to add the boost tubes and monster-ram turbo inlet elbo with cold air intake next. Very impress with the quality of of products."

Pretty Easy Install and Great output

"I installed the Banks Derringer with iDash on my 2020 L5P Duramax (emissions intact), and the overall experience was excellent. The install took a little over an hour, and I used the required 15-minute cool-off period to dismantle the driver area as instructed, which made everything efficient and straightforward. The instructions were fantastic—clear, well-sequenced, and clearly written by people who actually wrench on these trucks. Hardware quality is top-tier, with OEM-level connectors and a pod mount that looks factory once installed. Power delivery is smooth and controlled, especially on lower levels for towing, with improved throttle response. The iDash is the standout feature, giving real-time visibility into EGT, boost, MAP, fuel rail pressure, power level, and CEL diagnostics. This isn’t a CEL eraser, but it provides transparency and confidence by showing exactly what the truck is doing. Overall, Banks delivers engineered, reliability-focused performance that prioritizes longevity as much as power"

Q&A

I currently have the original/ classic iDash. Is the original Derringer still available that is compatible with the classic iDash?
The Derringer and iDash combo only works on 2017-2019 trucks, the newer 20-22 trucks need the iDash Data pro to communicate with the newer Global B Architecture.
Can you daisy chain the new I-dash pro HO with an older I-dash for more readings options?
Yes, you can daisy chain the iDash Pro with iDash classic. For specific parameters, please contact our tech support team at 800-601-8072, opt 4 for assistance.
Installation question: I already have the idash and derringer, can I just swap the idash with idash pro and derringer with derringer HO and use all the non-HO wiring or will I need to run the new wiring?
The Derringer HO will require a different engine harness due to the programming a hardware changes. Please call us for assistance with ordering the kit. 800-601-8072.
Does the Pedal Monster work with this?
Yes. PedalMonster is able to integrate with the for the Derringer HO.
I currently have an Idash. Can I order just the derringer?
The Derringer HO requires an iDash Pro and will not work with iDash classic models.
